For employers

Specialists who do not read job adverts

When you hire into a narrow field, most of the relevant people already have a job and are not looking. We approach them, assess them against your role, and give you a shortlist with the reasoning attached to every name.

The starting point

An advert gets you the people who apply, not the people who fit

That works well when the role is broad and many people are qualified. In a narrow technical field they are rarely the same people you would most want to talk to.

So we start with the role rather than with a candidate database. What does the work actually require, how many people in the Nordics can do it, and where are they. If the answer is that an advert would do, we say so, and then you do not need us.

How we work

Four steps from the role to the shortlist

The same assessment work that sits behind our engagements for AI labs.

  1. 01

    Going through the role

We work out what the job requires, what the team looks like, and what separates a strong candidate from one who is merely adequate. The requirements get written down.

  2. 02

    Search

We look through professional networks and public profiles, including people who are not looking for a job and would never have applied.

  3. 03

    Assessment

Every relevant candidate is assessed against the same requirements, and the reasoning is written down. Weaknesses go in the note, not outside it.

  4. 04

    Shortlist

You get one assessment note per name, read by a person first. You decide who you want to speak to.

What you get

Something you can disagree with

Reasoning for every name
Each name arrives with what is met, what is partly met, and what we are unsure about. You can overrule the assessment because you can read it.
Candidates who did not apply
People we approached because they fit, rather than people who happened to see an advert.
The same bar for everyone
Every candidate is assessed against the same set. That makes the comparison real and any bias visible.
Requirements you can change
If you read the shortlist and realise a requirement was set wrong, tell us. We reassess the same candidates against the updated set and tell you what changed.
An honest no
If we think the role needs to change, or that you do not need us, we say so instead of continuing the search.

Questions

What we get asked most

How long does it take?
It depends on the role and how many people exist in the field. We give an estimate once we have gone through the requirements, not before, and we do not quote an average we have not measured.
How many candidates do I get?
As many as are genuinely relevant. We do not pad a list to reach a number.
What does it cost?
We agree a price per engagement based on the role and how narrow the field is. Get in touch and we will go through it properly.
Does the AI make the decision?
No. Software searches and sorts. The assessment is written down and read by a person before the shortlist is sent, and you decide who goes forward.
What data do you process about candidates?
Information from professional networks and public profiles, limited to what is professionally relevant to the role. The privacy policy sets it out in detail.
